Senior BI / Data Warehouse Engineer (SQL Server, SSAS, Cognos)

ABCloudz is seeking a Middle+ to Senior BI / Data Warehouse Engineer to support an enterprise reporting and analytics migration initiative for a large retail customer. The role focuses on legacy BI modernization, cube/report migration, and ongoing support of Microsoft and Cognos-based analytics environments.
This position works closely with an established delivery team supporting large-scale reporting and data platform initiatives. Strong collaboration and communication skills are required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Database and BI Development

• Experience with enterprise BI and data warehousing solutions

• Experience with at least one of the following:

– SSAS

– Cognos

– IBM DataStage

• Strong SQL Server development experience

• Experience with ETL development and data integration processes

• Azure data platform or AWS experience

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work within an established distributed delivery team

• Professional English communication skills, both written and spoken

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiple BI platforms and migration projects

• SSRS and SSIS experience

• Databricks experience

• Azure data platform or AWS experience

• Experience supporting large enterprise retail or analytics environments

• Experience with legacy-to-modern BI migrations

• Experience working with globally distributed teams

• Experience modernizing legacy reporting environments

Responsibilities

• Support migration of enterprise BI and reporting workloads to modern data platforms

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL Server database objects, ETL processes, cubes, and reports

• Work with SSAS multidimensional/tabular models and enterprise reporting environments

• Support Cognos reporting and analytics workloads

• Analyze existing BI solutions and assist with migration/remediation planning

• Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and project managers across distributed teams

• Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support activities

• Contribute to long-term modernization efforts involving cloud and lakehouse technologies
