ABCloudz is heading to Ellucian Live 2026 as a Gold Partner.
This year, the conference will take place April 19 to 22 in Denver. Last year, shortly after Ellucian Live 2025, Ellucian officially announced ABCloudz as a Service Partner. In that announcement, Ellucian highlighted ABCloudz’s role in SaaS migration, integration modernization, reporting, and digital transformation across the Ellucian ecosystem.
Ahead of Ellucian Live 2026, we wanted to use this issue to look back at what that partnership has delivered over the past year, highlight the areas where we have been doing the most practical work, and preview the sessions, products, and offerings we will be discussing at the conference.
One year into the Ellucian partnership
A year after becoming an Ellucian Service Partner, we are returning to Ellucian Live with a stronger delivery footprint and a broader record of practical work across the Ellucian ecosystem, including 250+ institutions across the Americas and EMEA, 80+ co-delivered projects, and 90+ badged specialists. Our badge profile has also grown over the past year: three of our four Ellucian badges have advanced from Foundation to Proficiency, including the Ellucian Service Badge, Experience Platform Badge, and Insights Badge, while our SaaS Delivery Badge is currently at the Foundation level.
Where we delivered in practice
Over the past year, our Ellucian delivery work centered on four practical areas, each illustrated here by case studies that generated the most interest in conversations with our clients.
Core student system modernization
One of the clearest themes in the last year was core SaaS transformation work around Ellucian Banner and Colleague, especially preserving business-critical logic and rebuilding it in SaaS-ready patterns.
- Student record automation in SaaS: rebuilt graduation and student record automation for Banner SaaS using Data Connect and Ethos after the original direct-database workflow could no longer run in the cloud.
- Legacy student status automation for Banner SaaS: reworked a long-running custom process used for academic disadvantage tracking, compliance, and reporting after a US college moved from on-prem Banner to SaaS.
- Rebuilding institutional student logic in Banner SaaS: recreated term-based rule evaluation and status update logic that had been production-proven on premises but could not continue in its original form in SaaS.
Integration modernization
This has been our busiest area of delivery, with 120+ integrations in scope and 85 already completed, including 43 in Banner and 42 in Colleague.
- Banner SaaS and Salesforce EDA: rebuilt student data synchronization after a move from on-prem Banner, using Data Connect pipelines, Experience notifications, and Insights reporting.
- Colleague SaaS and BMTX BankMobile: modernized a financial operations integration carrying enrollment indicators, demographics, and disbursement data into a SaaS-safe model.
- Colleague SaaS and Barnes & Noble Adoption: rebuilt a long-running textbook and first-day access integration for Ellucian SaaS, using Data Connect and Ethos.
Student workflows and experience
We expanded our work in student-facing workflows and Experience-based delivery to make interactions simpler, clearer, and more useful for students.
One example is our Exam Results Experience Card, which we submitted to the Experience Idol contest, with the winners to be announced at Ellucian Live 2026.
- Exam Results Experience Card: created an interactive card that shows module-level results as soon as students log in and lets them drill into more detail.
- Experience Card for Enrolling Students from Partner Institutions: built a narrower, more relevant enrolment path for students coming from partner institutions.
- Trusted Contact Experience Card: designed a workflow that captures trusted contact information separately from emergency contacts.
Data and analytics modernization
Data and analytics modernization remained an important part of our Ellucian work, especially where institutions were rethinking reporting, data movement, and analytics processes for SaaS environments.
- Analytics pipelines with Data Connect: helped one of the largest US community college systems move from legacy SQL Server infrastructure to a cloud-native analytics platform on AWS, rebuilding ETL with Data Connect and automated PostgreSQL testing.
