ABCloudz is seeking an experienced SSIS Developer for full-time contract engagement. The developer will be involved in several tasks, but primarily involved in modifying existing SSIS packages to integrate with the Snowflake platform. The ideal candidate will be experienced with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and have a decent understanding of ETL processes, as well as familiarity with Snowflake.

Responsibilities:

Requirement Analysis and Planning:

  • Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to understand project objectives, technical requirements, and design expectations.
  • Participate in project planning and scoping discussions to align development efforts with organizational goals.

SSIS Package Modification and Snowflake Integration:

  • Work with existing SSIS packages to point them to the Snowflake platform.
  • Ensure seamless data integration and migration from SQL Server to Snowflake.
  • Leverage prior experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to modify and optimize ETL processes for Snowflake.

Development and Implementation:

  • Implement and test modifications to SSIS packages to ensure they function correctly within the Snowflake environment.
  • Develop new ETL processes as needed to support the migration effort.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Maintain regular communication with technical teams to ensure alignment with project objectives and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Participate in status meetings, provide progress updates, and address any technical or functional concerns.

Quality Assurance and Testing:

  • Conduct thorough testing to validate the functionality, performance, and compatibility of the modified SSIS packages within the Snowflake platform.
  • Address and resolve any identified issues in a timely manner.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

  • Provide comprehensive documentation of implemented solutions, including codebase and configuration details.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and ETL processes.
  • Strong understanding of Snowflake platform integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
