We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance database solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SQL Server and other relational databases, with a focus on optimization, data integrity, and operational efficiency.
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience with database development and administration (SQL Server)
- Architectural knowledge and solid practical experience in DB development
- Practical experience in data modeling and writing stored code
- Ability to implement and maintain a robust process for database schema management, including version control and automation, preferably with practical solid Git expertise
- Practical experience in the performance tuning of databases
- Proficiency in managing CLRs in SQL Server, troubleshooting, and optimizing CLR-based functionalities
- Practical experience in developing and administering SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning will be a plus
- Strong expertise in SQL Server administration and management, including installation, configuration, and maintenance (development DBA)
- Familiarity with routine tasks such as backups, restorations, and upgrades of SQL Server
- Expertise in SQL Server clusters, including the ability to design, deploy, configure, and manage SQL Server clusters for high availability and disaster recovery
- Experience in hosting SQL Server on AWS and familiarity with AWS services related to database management
- Knowledge of database security best practices and experience in implementing and maintaining database security measures, including user access control and data encryption
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellence communication and presentation skills, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, system administrators, and business stakeholders
- Participation in the product projects
Responsibility:
- Developing, reviewing, and refactoring stored code and database objects.
- Tracking database changes during development, and preparing for deployment.
- Administrative duties according to development and test environments.
- Creation and implementation of the database backup policy.
- Setting up of database for a new environment and restoring of backups.
- Data migration and synchronization between environments.
- Creation of documents for current database solutions.
- Identifying and resolving database-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system failures.
- Researching, testing, and developing system maintenance and upgrade plans for new technologies and versions.
- Cooperation with developers, DevOps, and other groups to implement various database-related tasks
