We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Integration & M&A Specialist to lead and support Microsoft 365 integration initiatives driven by mergers, acquisitions, and organizational transformations. This role provides both strategic guidance and hands-on execution for complex M&A scenarios, including tenant-to-tenant integrations, content migrations, and identity alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise stakeholders on Microsoft 365 integration strategies during mergers, acquisitions, and organizational changes
- Plan and execute SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams migrations across tenants and environments
- Support tenant-to-tenant integration scenarios, including content, structure, permissions, and access models
- Address identity and access considerations related to Microsoft Entra ID, guest access, and cross-tenant collaboration
- Evaluate and mitigate risks related to data ownership, compliance, permissions, and external sharing
- Collaborate with internal teams, security, compliance, and third-party vendors to ensure a coordinated integration approach
- Develop integration runbooks, migration plans, and technical documentation
- Provide post-integration support and optimization to ensure stability and user adoption
Qualifications:
- Proven hands-on experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments during mergers, acquisitions, or large-scale organizational changes
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive, including their dependencies on identity, security, and access controls
- Experience with tenant integration, federation, and migration tools
- Ability to translate M&A business objectives into actionable Microsoft 365 technical strategies
- Strong stakeholder communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in both planning and execution phases of complex programs
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and cross-tenant collaboration models
- Experience with third-party migration tools (e.g., ShareGate, Quest, BitTitan, AvePoint)
- Understanding of data governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations in M&A environments
- Prior experience working with enterprise clients or managed services organizations
