AWS DevOps Engineer
Remote, multiple locations across Europe, EMEA
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in AWS cloud services, including ECS Fargate, EC2, and security implementations using AWS WAF and Shield. The ideal candidate will have experience managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, with strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Engineer
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS, especially VPC, VPN, ECS, and security features
- Proven experience managing GitLab CI/CD pipelines and scaling runners
- Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Good understanding of infrastructure security best practices
- Experience with Kubernetes is a plus
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and cloud technologies
- Pursue relevant AWS certifications to validate skills and knowledge
Responsibilities
AWS Infrastructure Management:
- Design and manage AWS VPCs and VPN connections to ensure secure, isolated networking between systems and clinics
- Deploy and manage Linux-based containers using AWS ECS Fargate
- Work with AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, RDS, SDK, SQS, API Gateway
- Implement robust security controls using AWS WAF and AWS Shield
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for both SaaS and self-hosted runners
- Implement GitLab Runner Autoscaler for efficient dynamic scaling
- Integrate SonarCloud and Mend (formerly WhiteSource) to enforce code quality and security standards
Automation and Infrastructure as Code:

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, PowerShell, and Python

Troubleshoot and optimize automation workflows for maximum efficiency
Collaboration and Communication:

Strong communication skills to collaborate with development teams, ensuring seamless integration of development and operational workflows
Ongoing Learning and Certification:
- AWS certifications would be a plus
