Healthcare promises efficiency through technology. Yet many doctors still found themselves drowning in open windows, each exam demanding manual cleanup before the next could begin. Take radiologists for example. Their workflow depends on a mix of tools: one app for scheduling, another for storing images, a separate viewer to read them, and a program for dictation and reporting. Since none of these were built to cooperate, doctors ended up acting as traffic cops, switching between systems just to stay aligned.

The platform we are building with our customer brings all of this into one workspace. It keeps everyday tools in sync so that moving from one exam to the next feels smooth instead of messy. We have already connected it with a wide range of systems radiologists rely on. One of them is Philips IntelliSpace Radiology, a viewer designed for storing and displaying medical images. In this story we will show how we brought it into the flow.
Rethinking the workflow with IntelliSpace Radiology
The platform we are building with our customer was designed to take the friction out of radiology workflows. Instead of leaving doctors to wrestle with multiple apps, it turns the worklist into the control center where everything stays in sync. Pick an exam and the right combination of tools is ready, from imaging to reporting.
Philips IntelliSpace Radiology was one of the systems we connected to this flow. On its own it forced radiologists to pause, search by accession or MRN, and manage windows that stayed open even after the report was finished. With integration the process became seamless. A case selected in the worklist opens directly in the viewer, and once the report is signed or discarded, the exam closes quietly so the screen is clear for the next patient.
How we wired Philips IntelliSpace into the platform
Making Philips IntelliSpace blend into the workflow meant putting the complexity on our side, not on the doctor’s desk. Radiologists no longer have to hunt for accession numbers or tidy up leftover windows. From their perspective it is just a clean click that brings the right study into view.
Here is how it works in practice:
The platform runs in the cloud and uses the worklist as its command center. The worklist is where radiologists see their queue of exams, check their status, and launch the connected tools in context. On each workstation a lightweight desktop client bridges the platform with the Philips IntelliSpace application installed on the same machine.
When a radiologist picks a case from the worklist, the platform collects the exam context and sends it securely to the desktop client on the workstation. The client hands this info over to Philips, which pops open the right exam right away with no typing or searching. Once the exam is signed or discarded, Philips pings back through the client, and the platform updates the worklist, shows the latest status to everyone, and clears the viewer so the screen is ready for the next patient.
Administrators do not need to wrestle with complicated settings. A few connection details are entered once, and from then on the system handles the coordination automatically.
The impact in daily numbers
In the old setup radiologists could spend close to 30 seconds just to open the correct exam in Philips IntelliSpace. With integration that same step now takes about 7 seconds. For 40 to 50 studies each day this adds up to many minutes of regained focus for every doctor.
The real gain is that radiologists no longer drain their energy on typing identifiers or closing extra windows. Their attention stays on patient data where accuracy matters most. Fewer distractions mean fewer mistakes and faster turnaround, which directly improves patient care.
Let’s connect the dots together
This is exactly what we specialize in. In healthcare we connect imaging systems, viewers, reporting tools, scheduling software, and even AI into a single flow that feels natural and scales across sites. And the same expertise applies far beyond healthcare.
If your organization is dealing with a maze of disconnected apps, let’s talk. Share your current setup with us and we will show you how it can turn into a workflow that saves time, cuts frustration, and feels like it was built to fit together from the start.
