ABCloudz has earned the Google Maps Platform Expertise. This designation means Google has verified our experience delivering real-world solutions that use its mapping technologies. To receive this badge, a partner needs to show successful implementations, certified engineers, and positive customer feedback. We’ve met all of those criteria.
How we got there
This expertise was awarded based on our work with Trek Medics, the creators of the Beacon Emergency Dispatch platform. It’s a cross-platform system designed to improve emergency response, especially in areas with limited resources.
We built mobile and web applications that use Google Maps to help dispatchers and field responders see each other’s locations in real time, find the fastest route to a scene, and coordinate actions on the move. On mobile, Google Maps powers everything from initial alerting to turn-by-turn navigation. On the web, it helps dispatchers track resources and send support where it’s needed most.
To keep costs low while maintaining flexibility, we also integrated OpenStreetMap and OpenTopoMap, combining them through a custom map driver. This approach gave the customer the right mix of performance, accuracy, and price, and because we delivered a cost-effective solution for a non-profit organization, this same project also earned us the Google Cloud Non-Profit Expertise.
Here’s how our client Jason F. from Trek Medics described his experience working with us:
If you’d like to learn more about this project, we’ve published two blog posts that cover it in detail. One focuses on the platform’s functionality, and the other explores the technical implementation.
Let’s build together
We didn’t just plug in a map. We built a location-aware system that works reliably even when the internet is unstable, and we helped a global non-profit use their resources more efficiently in life-or-death situations.
Google reviewed this work and recognized it as a qualified example of Maps Platform implementation. If your product depends on knowing where people or things are, and on making decisions based on that, we have the experience to build it right.
