Google Cloud solutions for non-profit emergency response
One of our proudest collaborations is with Trek Medics International, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to emergency response networks in underserved communities. Trek Medics faced significant challenges in coordinating their Emergency Response Teams (ERTs) due to outdated mapping tools and infrastructure.
By partnering with ABCloudz, they were able to modernize their Beacon Emergency Dispatch platform using advanced features of the Google Cloud Platform. We developed a custom Map Driver component, integrated dark mode for low-light conditions, and implemented satellite views for better navigation.
Thanks to these enhancements, Trek Medics now supports a wide range of emergencies across the globe, including locations in Guatemala, Belize, South Africa, and Puerto Rico. As their founder and executive director, Jason Friesen, notes:
