ABCloudz is looking for a Business Systems Analyst to be an integral part of our team as we support our customers’ use of Ellucian’s Banner system for higher education. This role requires a deep understanding of Banner’s capabilities, coupled with the ability to assess, analyze, and improve business processes. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and technology experts to align business objectives with Banner’s technical capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough analysis, capture details, and document the current state of customers’ Ellucian Banner implementations.
- Produce specifications, requirements, and migration solution documents tailored to Banner for customers and development teams, with the goal of modernizing to Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions.
- Identify dependencies and integrations with third-party applications within the Banner environment and formulate SaaS-based solutions.
- Stay closely involved throughout the implementation phase to ensure the successful delivery of Banner-related solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a focus on Ellucian’s Banner software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills specific to Banner’s functionalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into Banner-specific technical specifications.
- Familiarity with business process modeling and system design methodologies, particularly within Banner.
- Proficiency in using Banner-related business analysis tools and techniques.
- Experience with project management and the software development lifecycle, with a focus on Banner implementations.
- Ability to walk through and discuss architectural diagrams, providing clarity and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of Java, databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL), and AWS within the context of Ellucian’s Banner system.
- Ability to quickly learn and successfully navigate through ambiguous situations, ensuring effective problem-solving and decision-making.
Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of higher education industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to Banner.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting within the Banner environment.
